For many generations, companies have faced numerous barriers to entry when trying to inform their customers of key product related information. However, this is no longer the case! Websites need the appropriate content to take their business to the next level. However, you need to do more than simply tell the facts and give the information. Giving the facts and information is only the beginning in the modern era of content marketing. You’ve probably heard this before, but you need to engage your customers. Try to get them involved in the story of your product.
Modern technology allows for instant information sharing often at no additional charge to the company. If you have an inquisitive and/or engaged customer base, they will now come to you for the information. Once it is posted on your blog, it often automatically tweets and is posted on Facebook. If you are finding that you don’t have much interaction then perhaps you aren’t telling a good enough story to engage your customers.
Top Rank Marketing Blog posted a 4-1-1 strategy that I would agree with. For every six posts shared on Facebook or Twitter, you can use the following 4-1-1 strategy:
4 Shares of other company’s content
1 original piece
1 sales pitch
Lastly, focus on quality. It is better to share less and have good quality than to share too often but have poor quality. However, keep sharing and try to develop this “story”.
